Accretion Discs with Accreting Coronae in Agn { Ii. Nuclear Wind

چکیده
We study an accretion disc with a hot continuous corona. We assume that the corona itself accretes and therefore it is powered directly by the release of the gravitational energy and cooled by radiative interaction with the disc. We consider the vertical structure of such a corona and show that the radial infall is accompanied by strong vertical outtow. Such a model has two important consequences: (i) at a given radius the corona forms only for accretion rate larger than the limiting value and the fraction of energy dissipated in the corona decreases with increasing accretion rate, and (ii) the disc spectra are signiicantly softer in the optical/UV band in comparison with the predictions of standard accretion discs due to the mass loss and the decrease of internal dissipation in the disc. Both trends correspond well to the mean spectra of radio quiet AGN and observed luminosity states in galactic black hole candidates.

Coronal outflow dominated accretion discs: a new possibility for low luminosity black holes?
The spectral energy distributions of galactic black holes in the low/hard state and of lowluminosity AGN possess many common features, the most prominent being: compact, flat (or inverted) spectrum radio cores with high brightness temperatures; excess red and infrared emission, often correlated with the radio flux; an extremely weak (or absent) quasi-thermal hump and a hard X-ray power-law with...
متن کاملAn accretion disc-corona model for X-ray spectra of active galactic nuclei
The hard X-ray emission of active galactic nuclei (AGN) is believed to originate from the hot coronae above the cold accretion discs. The hard X-ray spectral index is found to be correlated with the Eddington ratio Lbol/LEdd, and the hard X-ray bolometric correction factor Lbol/LX,2−10keV increases with the Eddington ratio. The Compton reflection is also found to be correlated with the hard X-r...
متن کاملCoronal Heating and Emission Mechanisms in Agn
Popular models for the formation of X-ray spectra in AGN assume that a large fraction of the disk’s angular momentum dissipation takes place in a hot corona that carries a small amount of the accreting mass. Here I discuss the formation of a magnetically–structured accretion disk corona, generated by buoyancy instability in the disk and the heating of localized flare regions up to the canonical...
متن کاملVertical Structure of Accretion Discs with Hot Coronae in AGN
We study vertical structure of radiation pressure dominated disc with a hot corona. We include all the relevant processes like bound–free opacity and convection. We show that the presence of the corona modifies considerably the density and the opacity of the disc surface layers which are important from the point of view of spectrum formation. The surface of the disc with a corona is much denser...
متن کاملThe evolution of misaligned accretion discs and spinning black holes
In this paper we consider the process of alignment of a spinning black hole and a surrounding misaligned accretion disc. We use a simplified set of equations, that describe the evolution of the system in the case where the propagation of warping disturbances in the accretion disc occurs diffusively, a situation likely to be common in the thin discs in Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN). We also allow...
